Q1: Hi, I want to make an appeal. How do I do it?
A1: Please visit the Student Affairs website to fill out the Student Appeal Form. I will take care of the application. Then you will be notified for the meeting of Student Awards and Disciplinary Action Committee.

College Life Guidance Section

Q1: Excuse me, I lost something. Where can I find it?
A1: You can go to the College Life Guidance Section at Administration Bldg. II, Room 102A. There is a front desk for “Lost and Found”. Someone will be there to assist you.

Q2: Hi, I had a motorcycle accident. My motorcycle was crashed by another one. Can I ask what should I do next?
A2: Did you already call the police and made a report? If not, the College Life Guidance Section can assist you regarding the following police report, medical assistance, insurance, liability, and reimbursement issues. If you have further questions, please dial ext 2231, 2226.

Q3: Sir, I want to ask a question. My cell phone rang, while I was taking my midterm exam. A teacher who supervised the midterm told me that I violated the exam rule. Am I going to get a punishment? Will I be kicked out of the school?
A3: Don’t be panic. It is not severe to the point of being kicked out or expelled from the school. However, you might receive some discipline act. Please understand the Student Examination Standards and Regulations, and hope that you will not violate those regulations again.

Q4: Sir, I would like to apply for emergency assistance.
A4: You can go to the College Life Guidance Section (located at Administration Bldg. II, Room 102A) to apply and fill out the Emergency Assistance Forms. Someone will talk with you and will assist you going through the whole process.

Extracurricular Activity Section

Q1:I want to ask if international students are allowed to apply for scholarships in the campus.
A1: Yes. International students can apply for International Student Scholarship. If you have any questions, please call 04-24517250 ext.2240.

Q2: How do international students summit a claim for student group insurance?
A2: You can go to the Extracurricular Activity Section (located at Recreation Bldg., Room 103) to apply and fill out the Cathaylife insurance claim form. Someone will talk with you and will assist you going through the whole process.

Q3: Are international students allowed to join clubs?
A3: Yes. International students are free to join student clubs or associations. If you have any questions, please call 04-24517250 ext.2240.

Q4: How do international students borrowing a facility?
A4: Facilities for clubs or associations can be borrowed from the staff in the Extracurricular Activity Section. If you have any questions, please call 04-24517250 ext.2240.

Q5: How do international students borrowing equipment?
A5: Equipment for clubs or associations can be borrowed from the staff in the Extracurricular Activity Section. If you have any questions,

please call 04-24517250 ext.2240.

Counseling Center

Q1: Hi, I want to have counseling. What should I do?
A1: It is your first time? Do you have 15 to 20 minutes right now? We will arrange an intake for you. Please have a seat. I will arrange a counselor to talk with you.

Q2: I don’t have time for an intake right now. Can I schedule for another time?
A2: That is okay. Please leave your name, cell phone number, and I will ask our counselor to contact you for an appointment.

Q3: Does the Counseling Center provide English counseling service?
A3: Yes. English counseling service is provided on Fridays from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Q4: Does the Counseling Center provide any consultation hotline?
A4: Yes. Please dial 04-24517250 ext. 2260. There is a counselor who provides consultation service for you.

Leadership Development and Service Learning Center

Q1: Can I ask if I need to take the Service-Learning course for the freshman year?
A1: No. All the international students are not required to take this course. The Registration and Curriculum Section will take care of that. It will be showed as not needed.

Q2: If I would like to join the volunteer service off campus, how can I get the information?
A2: Our center provides off campus volunteer service information. If you want, please come to our center to look over the information and apply.

Q3: What kinds of volunteer teams does the school have? How do I join these volunteer teams?
A3: We have 21 volunteer teams in the school so far. Each team belongs to different units. If you are interested in one of them, I can refer you to them.

Q4: Can I ask if there are any volunteer training courses to take?
A4: Yes. Our center will provide volunteer training courses from time to time. Please leave your contact information, and we will contact you for applying when we have the courses.

Housing Services Center

Q1:When can I apply for the extension of accommodation for the next school year? How long can I stay?
A1:Each April will announce the application policies for existing students to extend their accommodation. Once students are approved for accommodation, they should stay for one academic year (from 8/30 to 6/27 the next year). The dormitory fees are paid twice per academic year, in the fall and in the spring.

Q2:Can I continue to stay in the dormitory during summer and winter breaks?
A2:During winter breaks and Chinese New year holidays, we will inquire who needs accommodation in advance. For students who are not going home, they can stay in their own room.
For students who need accommodation during summer break, please download the “Summer Housing Application Form ( Individual )” from the Student Housing Section website in early May, or visit the Student Housing Section Office in person.

Q3:How do I request for maintenance for the appliances in the dormitory?
A3:If students need maintenance service, please go to the dormitory information desk or Student Housing Section Office in person.

Q4:Can I cook in the dormitory or in the room? Can I use appliances, such as refrigerator, oven, or electric cooker, etc.?
A4:For the safety of students, it is prohibited to use any energy-consuming appliances, such as induction cooker, electric cooker, refrigerator, etc. Please do not cook in the dormitory. If anyone needs to cook, please go to the kitchen area and book it for cooking.

Q5:How do I rent the facilities of dormitory in the Fusing Campus?
A5:Please apply and summit an activity plan a week before the date in advance to the Student Housing Section Office. Please see the “Fees for renting facilities in the Fusing Campus” for rules and the fees.

Q6:How do I make a complaint for fights with a roommate or floor mate, or other relationships problems?
A6:
